AWS Colorful Navbar is a browser extension that enhances the AWS Console experience by adding visual region indicators. This extension operates entirely locally on your device.

Data Collection

We do not collect any data. Specifically:

  • No personal information is collected
  • No usage analytics or tracking
  • No data is sent to external servers
  • No cookies are used
  • No third-party services are integrated

Local Storage

The extension stores your preferences locally on your device using the browser's built-in storage API (chrome.storage.local). This includes:

  • Background toggle — Enable/disable navbar color
  • Flag toggle — Enable/disable region flag display
  • Custom colors — Your personalized gradient colors
  • Theme preference — Dark or light mode setting

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

Permissions

The extension requires minimal permissions to function:

  • activeTab — To modify the appearance of AWS Console pages
  • storage — To save your preferences locally
  • Host permission — Limited to *.console.aws.amazon.com only

Third-Party Services

This extension does not use any third-party services, analytics, or tracking tools. All functionality is self-contained.

Children's Privacy

This extension does not collect any information from anyone, including children under 13 years of age.
